Method
- Preheat the oven to 350 F and line a 13x9 baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, salt, and baking soda.
- In a medium microwave safe bowl, melt peanut butter and butter.
- Pour melted peanut butter/butter mixture into the medium mixing bowl with the flour. Fold with a rubber spatula until combined.
- In a small bowl mix together egg, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix into the medium mixing bowl containing the other ingredients. Stir until combined.
- Press mixture into the baking pan and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and not jiggly.
Peanut Butter Frosting
- In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt (1/4 cup) peanut butter until partially liquified. Using a hand mixer mix in (1/4 cup) softened butter, (2 cups) powdered sugar, (3 tbsp) milk, and (1/2 tsp) salt. Spread evenly onto bars and place into the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.
