Ingredients
  

Peanut Butter Blondies
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • cup milk 2% or less
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • cup peanut butter
  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
Peanut Butter Frosting
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 3 tbsp milk 2% or whole
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F and line a 13x9 baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, salt, and baking soda.
  3. In a medium microwave safe bowl, melt peanut butter and butter.
  4. Pour melted peanut butter/butter mixture into the medium mixing bowl with the flour. Fold with a rubber spatula until combined.
  5. In a small bowl mix together egg, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix into the medium mixing bowl containing the other ingredients. Stir until combined.
  6. Press mixture into the baking pan and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and not jiggly.
Peanut Butter Frosting
  1. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt (1/4 cup) peanut butter until partially liquified. Using a hand mixer mix in (1/4 cup) softened butter, (2 cups) powdered sugar, (3 tbsp) milk, and (1/2 tsp) salt. Spread evenly onto bars and place into the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.
